Bear Valley Telefest – rescheduled in March 2012

The best in the west, the Bear Valley Telemark Festival hosted by Mountain Adventure Seminars has postponed the 15th annual festival until late March this year. For the first time ever there just isn’t enough snow to attact anyone to attend. The weather pattern is predicted to change by late February, and theoretically March storms will come roaring in like a lion, and leave like a lamb. If, indeed, that does happen, the new dates of March 23-25 should provide plenty of snow and sunshine, a perfect combo for a festival.
When: March 23-25, 2012
Where: Bear Valley Ski Resort, CA
Cost: $50/event (i.e., Banquet=$50, Sunday Tour=$50 …)

Lest you think this is a telemark exclusive event, MAS will host a rando race concurrently on Saturday, March 24th at Bear Valley. A good excuse for all you expat pinners and dynafiddle-ionados to join the party and show us all who’s capable of earning the most turns by smokin’ up the skin track the fastest.

There will be two classes of participants – true racers out to prove their mettle, and the wreckreation class for those who just want to join in and inject a less serious attitude to the whole affair.
When: March 24, 2012
Where: Bear Valley Ski Resort, CA
Cost: $50
