Are there any Turn-Earners out there in Utah? I am looking for a safety-partner for Turn-Earning adventures in Utah, on a budget. I live in Provo and am planning an outing to Provo Peak, and environs. There are no lifts at all, there. In order to stay on budget, I’m not going to pay for lifts, or for a paid guide. I am an expert skier, who learned from the best in Austria during my childhood. I have done lots of off piste skiing; and I have hiked this area by Provo Peak in the summer. I’m ready to go, but would prefer to go with a partner for safety reasons.

There are plenty of folks in Utah who frequent the BackcountyTalk forum tied to this website. Register and post there to increase your odds of meeting one of your neighbors. I’ve also found just showing up at the trailhead ready and willing to roll will put you on a collision path with future partners.
